Hi! My name is Ashish Patel. Nice to meet you. I spent all of my time working on the Dream Village Website. Most of the stuff I worked on takes place behind the scenes, but even though you can’t see it, it’s really important to making sure the Website works. For example, I built all the stuff that helps Dream Village understand where you came from based on the code you entered, and I also help Dream Village understand where our readers want to donate their money. Some people call me a Senior Architect/Developer. You can call me ‘Shish. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Hina |
Hi! My name is Hina Sheth. Nice to meet you. I spent my time doing a few different things, and most of my work can be found in our books, like “Saved by the Well”. I have a lot experience with pictures and photos, so I spent my time making sure we used the right photos in the book, and making sure those photos look good. After that, I helped Trupti with some of the other design work, most importantly, I made sure Jonzi and Jiji showed up in all the right places. Some people call me the Director of Photography. You can call me Hina. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Lindsey |
Hi! My name is Lindsey Smith. Nice to meet you. So, I’m still in college (at Vanderbilt), which means I didn’t really work for Dream Village for too long. I had what’s called an internship, which means I spent a little bit of time during my winter vacation helping Dream Village out. Before Dream Village put out its first book, “Saved by the Well”, they had to get a bunch of teachers and parents to look at it to make sure it was good. I helped them figure out the best people to ask, and the best way to do that. I worked a lot with Soniya. Some people call me Dream Village’s First Intern. You can call me Lindsey. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Eisen |
Hi! My name is Matt Eisenberg. Nice to meet you. You may not be able to tell from my picture, but I’m old enough to be a Dad. My son, Ari, was born just around the time Dream Village started. I am a writer/author, and I co-wrote “Saved by the Well”. I’m also helping Dream Village figure out what books to write next. Some people call me an Author. You can call me Eisen. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Melissa |
Hi! My name is Melissa Corbett. Nice to meet you. Of all the people you’ve met already, I’d say that I’m a lot like Shish because you guys won’t always see the work I do. I am a writer, like Matt, but I spend most of my time writing stuff for grown ups. For example, Dream Village needs money to keep on making books, and I write letters to people who have money and try to convince them to give money to us. I also step in to help out with whatever else I can (it’s the Dream Village way!) Some people call me a Director of Development. You can call me Melissa. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Pinki |
Hi! My name is Pinki Shah. Nice to meet you! Dream Village is for kids in elementary school and I know those kids well—I’m a 5th grade teacher. My most important job is to make sure that everything Dream Village does makes sense for kids in elementary school. I also help Dream Village figure out what those kinds of kids like. I’m working with Matt and some other friends on writing a couple of books, too. You’ll hear more about those when they’re ready! Some people call me the Voice of the Customer. You can call me Pinki. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Soniya |
Hi! My name is Soniya Sheth. Nice to meet you! My job at is a combination of Pinki’s, Melissa’s, and even Lindsey’s. I help make sure everything Dream Village does, kids will like. I worked with Lindsey on getting people to tell us what they though of our book, so we could make it better. And just like Melissa, sometimes I just end up helping out wherever I’m needed (it’s the Dream Village way!) Some people call me the Voice of the Customer. You can call me Soniya. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Trupti |
Hi! My name is Trupti Patel. Nice to meet you! I work very closely with Hina. Our books use photos, but they also use a lot of illustration and design. My job is to make sure that everything in every book looks good together and makes sense. I also work closely with Xavier because a lot of what he does with the Website started with a lot of the work we did with the first version of our first book. Some people call me the Director of Design and Illustration. You can call me “T”. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Xavier |
Hi! My name is Xavier Thomas. Nice to meet you! Don’t let my picture fool you; I don’t always wear a tie. I do a lot of different things from Dream Village. I helped make the Website look nice, while also making sure the Website works (I work with Shish on this). I also did a lot of design work based on some of what T did before, including helping Dream Village to develop its logo. Finally, I spend some of my time looking around the world to find Dream Village “partners”—people who we can work with to make Dream Village better. Some people call me the CTO/Director of Biz Development. You can call me Xavier. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
Suneet |
Hi! My name is Suneet Bhatt. Nice to meet you! I am so honored to have worked with this team on the idea for our company, writing our first book, helping to get all the partnerships with various causes set up. This team is awesome, and I get to work with each one of them every day. It's why I love my job! Some people call me the President. You can call me Suneet. If you have any questions, you can email me at: |
